We first met Jamie when she served as site visitor observing our program to consider AWBW for potential grant funding. That special day, Jamie dove right in, participating hands-on and delighting in the children and their creations.
Ever since that first day, Jamie’s energy, creativity, and willingness to help have been a tremendous blessing to AWBW. Jamie has served on several event host commmittees and has now joined the Donor Development Committee.
Most recently, Jamie posted a page on her website telling friends and family about her experiences with AWBW and all the ways they can help out, from donating art supplies to sponsoring a program to volunteering.
Thank you Jamie, for all the ways you are helping broaden and strengthen AWBW’s base of support for the future.

“I’ve worked with many non-profits, but I’ve never seen an organization as efficient and powerful as Windows.
My first experience with Windows consisted of participating in an arts
workshop at a shelter with survivors and their children. I don’t
consider myself much of an artist, so you can imagine how nervous I was
attending the workshop. But, I soon came to find out that that’s not
what Windows is about. It’s about FREEING the Creative Spirit inside of
you and expressing yourself through art. It benefits each and every one
of us, but for the survivors and their children, it provides a way for
them to express through art the hurt they feel.”
Ever since that day, I’ve attended numerous Windows events and have
been more exposed to the Windows culture. I believe in the
organization, I believe in the staff, I believe in the mission.”
