Come join an energetic team of volunteers supporting A
Window Between Worlds (AWBW).

AWBW is always in need of volunteers;
some weeks are more critical than others.
There are a wide range of opportunities and responsibilities to select
from with a flexible commitment and schedule.
It is a great opportunity to support the critical work of AWBW programs!

Volunteer Saturdays

AWBW holds a Volunteer Day on the
third Saturday of each month – the purpose of these days are to help with a
variety of tasks that can include mailings, art supply sorting, project
preparations and decorating envelopes.
Volunteers are welcome to come to these whenever their schedule
permits. Lunch is provided by AWBW.

Unpaid staff positions

Unpaid staff positions are available to those who want to
make more of a time commitment to come to the office weekly or bi-weekly and
provide program support. Available Unpaid staff positions are as follows:

  • Program Assistant: Tasks can include web
support, database entry, mailings, supply pick
    up and filing.
  • Art Supply Coordinator: Secure art supplies to
pack our free shopping area for local shelters to get the much needed supplies
    for their programs.
Internship

Three students per quarter/semester are accepted from
schools and universities for internship. Interns learn all aspects of nonprofit
and program development. Usual
commitment is 8 hours a week for the length of the semester.

Office Support

Office volunteers are the most flexible opportunities as
they can accommodate a varied schedule.
Office tasks will be assigned based on the need at the time. Commitment
can range from 1 to 8 hours a day.

Volunteers are needed to assist with pick-up of donations,
supplies and other office errands for approximately 2 hours every other
week. Mileage will be reimbursed.

Event Volunteers

Volunteers also have the opportunity to volunteer at AWBW
events such as fundraisers (Zazou, Art in the Afternoon, V-Day), the annual Open
House and our art workshops and Program Trainings throughout the year.

Volunteers can serve as committee members for special event
planning such as fundraisers during the year.
