Come join an energetic team of volunteers supporting A Window Between Worlds (AWBW).
AWBW is always in need of volunteers; some weeks are more critical than others. There are a wide range of opportunities and responsibilities to select from with a flexible commitment and schedule. It is a great opportunity to support the critical work of AWBW programs!
When inquiring about volunteer opportunities with AWBW please share how you found the organization, what you're hoping to gain by volunteering with us and if you need to fulfill community service hours of any kind.
AWBW holds a Volunteer Day on the third Saturday of each month – the purpose of these days are to help with a variety of tasks that can include mailings, art supply sorting, project preparations and decorating envelopes. Volunteers are welcome to come to these whenever their schedule permits. Lunch is provided by AWBW.

Three students per quarter/semester are accepted from schools and universities for internship. Interns learn all aspects of nonprofit and program development. Typical commitment is 8 hours a week for the length of the semester. Current openings:

Office volunteers are always needed. AWBW’s tasks will be assigned based on the need at the time and the volunteer schedule. Commitment can range from 1 to 8 hours a day. To schedule a time to volunteer during the week, click here.
Volunteers are needed to assist with pick-up of donations,
supplies and other office errands for approximately 2 hours every other
week. Mileage will be reimbursed.
Volunteers also have the opportunity to volunteer at AWBW
events such as fundraisers (Artworks for Healing, Art in the Afternoon, V-Day), and our art workshops and Program Trainings throughout the year.
Volunteers can serve as committee members for special event

We welcome art supply donations for use in the shelters. Most types of supplies are welcome - new or slightly used, please. For supplies in special demand, please see our Wish List.
