This colorful
exhibit of ten handmade crib quilts debuted during the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence National Conference in July 1998.
Each quilt was made at a shelter active in the AWBW Children's Windows Program and each square represents a child living at that shelter. In creating their pieces, the children explored themes like Safety and Security, Discovering Feelings, Dreams and Wishes.
The quilt-making is one step in the children's journey to a healthy and safe life and has allowed them to share their stories far and wide.
